Many see it as an easy way to make a quick buck. A couple of years ago a front page picture of a glossy celeb magazine could be worth $100 000 or more. It's seen as something anyone can do with a basic digital camera and a laptop. Some are paid cash by the agencies, so they are completely unaccountable, and have no knowledge or interest in news.
